Paigam, Theatre Group
Paigam, Theatre Group of the College offers a platform to the students to demonstrate their creativity, self-expression and ingenuity. Through the medium of theatre an outlet is provided to students to showcase their latent artistic abilities, resulting in their holistic development. This exposure equips the students with the required life skills to become responsible adults and achieve their ambitions in life. Along with this, it acquaints the students with their rich heritage by promoting cultural activities in the College throughout the year. Over the years, Paigam has won many awards and accolades for the College in various Youth Festivals and competitions held in and around the tricity. Dr Priya Sandhu (PG Department of English) under the guidance of Dr Jasveer Kaur Brar (Dean Cultural) looks after the activities of the theatre group. Second prize received by the students in the Street Play competition organised by the Municipal Corporation Chandigarh on December 27, 2021. The competition was a part of their Swachh Bharat Drive where sixty five teams of the city took part.
