The College has NCC Army Wing, A total of 160 Cadets in the Army Wing and 59 Cadets in the Naval Wing were enrolled during the session 2021-22. 43 Cadets were enrolled in NCC Girls Wing in the session 2021-22.

Actvities
Session 2022-23
- BASIC LEADERSHIP CAMP (BLC) A 8 day Basic Leadership Camp, organised by 6 PB (G) BN NCC Malout, NCC GP HQ LUDHIANA was held at Malout from 20 August to Aug 27, 2022. L/CPL Chetan Somai, L/CPL Amandeep, Cadet Nitin Rana, Cadet Pardeep Singh participated in the camp. Cadets participated in various cultural activities and sports and won Gold medals in Group dance and Silver Medals in skit.
- ADVANCE LEADERSHIP CAMP (ALC) A 12 day Advance Leadership Camp, organised by 6 PB (G) BN NCC Malout, NCC GP LUDHIANA was held at Malout from Sep 07 to 18 Sep 2022. L/CPL Chetan Somai, L/CPL Amandeep, L/CPL Rishu Mishra, L/CPL Ankit Dahiya of our college participated in the camp as part of Contingent of Chandigarh Group. Chandigarh Group stood first in skit, dance and singing competitions out of various activities organized.
- Independence Day Celebration: NCC Cadets took part in Prabhat Pheri, organized by NCC Units and NSS Unit on Aug 12, 2022 to encourage students and faculty of SGGS College to display the National Flag in their homes in order to celebrate the 75th year of India’s Independence under the aegis of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav. Many students, faculty members and other college staff participated in taking selfie with National Flag and uploading in website (www.harghartiranga.com) from Aug 13-15, 2022. The Independence Day was celebrated by hoisting the national flag on Aug 15, 2022.
- 20 NCC Cadets participated in a 10 km Running Competition, organised by 2 CHD BH NCC, CHD at Bougainvillea Park on Aug 15, 2022 to celebrate the Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav.
- Punit Sagar Abhiyan: 48 Cadets participated in Punit Sagar Abhiyan on 21 August 2022 at Sukhna Lake conducted by NCC Group Chandigarh to clean the lake. Hon’ble Member of Parliament, Mrs. Kirron Kher graced the occasion as the Chief Guest.
- 14 Cadets of our college participated in Punit Sagar Abhiyan, organised by 2 CHD BN NCC on Sep 28, 2022 at Sukhna Lake.
- Yoga Day Celebration: About 240 NCC Cadets of Various schools and Colleges attended One-day Yoga Session organized by NCC Army Wing in collaboration with NCC Girls Wing under the aegis of 2 CHD BN NCC and MGNCRE, Ministry of Education, Govt. of India on June 21, 2022 in our college to celebrate International Yoga Day.
- Neon Run: 40 Cadets participated in NEON RUN organized by Narcotics Deartment, UT, Chd on June 20, 2022 to make people aware to get away from drugs. Hon’ble Governor of Punjab and Administrator of UT Chandigarh graced the occasion as the chief Guest.
- A Yoga Session was organized in association with NCC Naval and NCC Girls Wing on May 23, 2022. Intra-College Poster Making Competition on the theme “Yoga for Well-Beings” was also conducted on the same day.
Session 2021-22
- TRACKING CAMP (AMARKANTAK) Cadet Vikas, Cadet Rohit Kumar and Cadet Shivam Kumar Maurya joined this tracking camp organized at Amarkantak from May 21-28, 2022, Madhya Pradesh by Madhya Pradesh & Chhattisgarh NCC DTE. Cadet Rohit Kumar participated in Tug-of-war and his team won the 2nd position.
- ANNUAL TRAINING CAMP A 7-day ATC was held at NCC Academy, Ropar from Sep 09 to 15, 2021 in which 18 cadets of our college participated. Cadets participated in various activities like volleyball, kabadi, cultural, drill etc. UO Jeevnesh Kaushik got 3rd prize in public speaking.
- A 5-day ATC was held at PGGC, Sector -11, Chandigarh from Nov 08 to 12, 2021 in which 26 cadets of our college participated. Cadet Pradeep Sharma was the captain of the football team and got appreciation for maintaining discipline during football match. Cadet Sahil and Cadet Rohit Kumar took part in piloting during the camp.
- COMBINED ANNUAL TRAINING CAMP (CATC) A Five day CATC was held at Govt. Model Senior Secondary School (GMSSS), Sec 47, Chandigarh from Dec 13-17, 2021 organized by 2ND CHD BN NCC in which 13 cadets of our college participated.
- EK BHARAT SHRESHTA BHARAT (EBSB) SGT Mahinder Singh attended online EBSB Camp, from Apr 12-17, 2021 organized by 9 Gujrat Naval Unit NCC, NCC DTE Gujrat.
- UO Yogesh Sharma attended online EBSB Camp, from Aug 23-28, 2021 organized by NCC Group HQ, Ambala, PHHP&C DTE.
- CSM Madhav Gautam attended online EBSB Camp, from Sep 20-25, 2021 organized by NCC Group HQ, Ludhiana, PHHP&C DTE.
- DIRECTORATE COMBINED ANNUAL TRAINING CAMP (DCATC) SGT Himanshu attended DCATC held at NCC Academy, Ropar from Nov 18-27, 2021 and successfully completed it.
- REPUBLIC DAY CAMP (RDC) SGT Himanshu attended Pre-RDC-I was held at NCC Academy, Ropar from Nov 28 to Dec 07, 2021 and was selected for Pre-RDC-II. He attended Pre-RDC-II was held at NCC Academy, Ropar from Dec 8-17, 2021 and successfully completed this camp.

Other NCC Activities
- Cadet Ekrar Ahmad and Cadet Rohit Kumar participated in a First Aid Training Camp organized by Dean SA and Indian Red Cross Society from Sep 14-17, 2021 in our college.
- NCC Day was celebrated jointly with Girls and Naval unit at Chaomajra Village on Nov 28, 2021. A total of 30 cadets were participated. Tree plantation and Cleanliness Drive was organized joinly with Village Panchayat and Gurudwara Prabandhak Committee.
- Cadet Aman Kumar, Cadet Ashish Kumar and Cadet Amardeep Singh participated in Artists workshop ‘KALAKUMBH’ organized by National Gallery of Morden Arts, Ministry of Culture, India in collaboration with Chitkara University, Punjab held at Chitkara University from Dec 25, 2021 to Jan 02, 2022.
- NCC Army Wing participated in Pan India Swachata Abhiyan on Oct 29, 2021. Cadets actively participated in a Nukkad Natak to increase the awareness level of people for not using plastic items.
- 41 Cadets visited Police lines, Sector 26, Chandigarh for Horse Riding Show held on March 15, 2022.
- 47 Cadets participated in Rifle Shooting (25m) at Firing Range, Sector 25, Chandigarh on March 21, 2022.
- 6 Cadets participated in Fit India 2.0 running held from Aug 18 to Oct 02, 2021. Cadet Sujeet got 1st position and Cadet Parmod got 3rd position for running throughout the period.
- 5 Cadets participated in Eat Right Meal at Sukhna Lake Club Ground & Walkathon from Rock Garden to Sukhna Lake Club on May 15, 2022 organized by the Food Safety Administration, Health Department, Chandigarh to Celebrate Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav.
- SGT Ekrar Ahmad participated in Mime at Youth Festival held from Nov 27-30, 2021 organized by PGGC, Sec 46, Chandigarh.
- 50 Cadets participated in Marathon & Walkathon held on April 22, 2022 at Parade Ground Panjab University organized by Department of Defence and National Security Studies, Panjab University, Chandigarh. CDT Raj Kumar secured 2nd position in 5 km running.
- 87 Cadets took pledge (online) to integrate and encourage yoga through life on May 02, 2022.
Session 2020-21
- Annual Training Camp for 2nd Year Cadets A 3-day ATC was held at ISDSSS, Sec 21 C, Chd from Feb 09 -11, 2021 in which 48 cadets of the College participated. A total of about 100 Cadets were enrolled for this camp. The College bagged the 1st position in Tug of War. Cadet Yogesh Sharma and Cadet Vaibhav participated in Piloting.
- Annual Training Camp for 3rd Year Cadets A 5-day ATC was held at GMSSS Sec 47, from Feb 01–05, 2021 in which 48 Cadets participated. The College bagged 1st position in Tug of war and secured overall 1st position.
- •Ek Bharat Shreshta Bharat Camp-IV (EBSB Camp-IV) Online EBSB Camp was organised by Odisha Dte from Oct 01-06, 2020. Cadet Sahil Kumar participated in the camp.
- Ek Bharat Shreshta Bharat Camp-V (EBSB Camp-V) Online EBSB Camp-V was organised by Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and Andamans Dte from Jan 25-30, 2021. Cadet Deepak Sharma participated in the camp. In this camp, 200 cadets from PHHP&C Directorate participated.
- Ek Bharat Shreshta Bharat Camp-VI (EBSB Camp-VI) Online EBSB Camp-VI was organised by Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and Andamans Dte from Mar 22-27, 2021. Cadet Lalit Mohan Singh participated in the camp. In this camp, 24 cadets from NCC group and about 200 cadets from PHHP&C Directorate participated.
- •Ek Bharat Shreshta Bharat Camp-II (EBSB Camp-VII) Online EBSB Camp-VII was organized by Gujarat Dte from Apr 12- 17, 2021. Cadet Mahinder Singh participated in the camp. In this camp, 200 cadets from PHHP&C Directorate participated.
- Directorate Combined Annual Training Camp (DCATC) DCATC was held at NCC Academy, Ropar from Nov 20-29, 2020. UO Sankar Mandal, UO Kabir Bhalla, Cadet Sanjay Kumar Singh and Cadet Jeevnesh Kaushik attended the camp.
- Republic Day Camp (RDC) Pre-RDC-I was held at NCC Academy, Ropar from Nov 30-Dec 09, 2020. UO Sankar Mandal, UO Kabir Bhalla, Cadet Sanjay Kumar Singh and Cadet Jeevnesh Kaushik attended the camp. Pre-RDC-II was held at NCC Academy, Ropar from Dec 10-19, 2020. UO Sankar Mandal, UO Kabir Bhalla, Cadet Sanjay Kumar Singh and Cadet Jeevnesh Kaushik attended the camp. RDC was held at DG NCC, Delhi Cantonment from Dec 20, 2020-Jan 29, 2021. UO Sankar Mandal, UO Kabir Bhalla and Cadet Sanjay Kumar Singh joined the camp. Both UO Kabir Bhalla and Shankar Mandal took part in the Rajpath Parade and PM Rally. UO Kabir Bhalla was selected as 2nd in Command for Rajpath Parade. Cadet Sanjay Kumar Singh participated in All India Guard of Honour during RDC. PHHP&C Directorate bagged 2nd position in the PM Rally. Our Directorate secured 5th position overall.
- Republic Day Parade Cadet Lalit Mohan Singh, Cadet Sahil Kumar, Cadet Sumit Malik and Cadet Yogesh Sharma participated in the Republic Day Parade held at Parade Ground, Sec 17, Chd on Jan 26, 2021.
Session 2019-20
- Ek Bharat Shreshta Bharat Camp (EBSBC-I) was held at Amritsar from Jun 04-15, 2019 in which a team of 20 cadets from different Colleges of Chd represented Chd. Unit SUO Himmat Singh, SGT Manish Pandey and Cadet Navdeep Singh from our College joined the camp. SUO Himmat Singh commanded the contingent of Chd Unit. Chd Unit bagged 1st position in the Cultural Event, 2nd position in Volleyball and 2nd position in Debate Competition. Overall 1st position was secured by Chd Unit.
- IMA Attachment Training Camp was organised by UK Directorate with IMA, Dehradun from Jun 12-23, 2019. Only one vacancy was allotted for each NCC Group HQ out of 8 vacancies for PHHP&C Directorate. UO Biswas Negi showed his competence through several interviews and tests in the tough selection process and joined the training camp to represent Chd NCC Group. UO Biswas Negi became the best shooter in Basketball tournament. He also bagged bronze medal in rifle shooting.
- Annual Training Camp of 10 days was held at PGGC, Sec 11, Chd from Jun 24-Jul 04, 2019 in which 48 Cadets participated. About 400 Cadets of 10 different colleges of Chd participated in the camp. Among various events, our college bagged 2nd position in Volleyball, 3rd position in Tug of War and 3rd position in Drill competition. Our College secured overall 3rd position.
- Basic Leadership CAMP (BLC) was held at Malout, Punjab from Aug 17-27, 2019. Cadet Jatin Kumar attended the camp. He commanded the Army Contingent of Drill.
- Scuba Diving Training Camp was organised at Swimming Pool, NCC Group HQ on Sep 05, 2019. UO Biswas Negi and Cadet Jatin Kumar attended the training.
- Advanced Leadership Camp (ALC) was attendedbyCadet Ankit Thakur, Cadet Parkash Kumar and Cadet Ritish Rohta held at Malout, Punjab from Sep 19-28, 2019.
- SSB Screening Course was organised at NCC OTA, Kamptee, Maharashtra from Sep16- 25, 2019. Only seven vacancies were allotted for PHHP&C Directorate. Outstanding performance of UO NikhleshChander Parashar in several interviews and tests facilitated his selection to join the Screening Course. Throughout India, only 89 Cadets got selected for this screening course.
- Army Attachment Camp: Army Attachment Camp with 6 Sikh Li, Chandimandir Cantonment was held at Chandimandir from Nov 01-15, 2019. UO Ajay Singh, SGT Sanjay Singh, CPL Ravi, Cadet Yogesh, Cadet Aman Kumar, Cadet Pritpal Singh, Cadet Ashwani Kumar, Cadet Manjeet Singh, Cadet Sanjeev Kumar and Cadet Nikhil Kumar participated in the camp. UO Ajay Singh was selected as Camp Senior, secured 1st position in shooting and got appreciation for Overall Best Cadet in the camp.
- Inter Group Shooting Competition was organised at NCC Academy, Ropar from Jun 01- 10, 2019. CQMS Aayush Soni participated in the competition and bagged 2nd prize in 3P shooting.
- Inter Directorate Shooting Competition was conducted at Asansol, West Bengal from Aug 12-27, 2019 in which CQMS Aayush Soni participated and successfully completed the qualifying round in 10m Air Rifle for GV Mavlankar Shooting Competition. The 19- membered team of PHHP&C Directorate secured overall 2nd position.
- ThalSainik Camp (TSC) Cadet Himanshu got selected for Pre-TSC-I held at NCC Academy, Ropar from Jul 31-Aug 09, 2019 based on the performance at the base camp in Chd. He attended Pre-TSC-II held from Aug 10-Sep 19, 2019, Pre-TSC-III held from Aug 27-Sep 05, 2019 and Pre-TSC-IV held from Sep 06-15, 2019 at the same location, respectively. Outstanding performance of CQMS Aayush Soni in Inter Directorate Shooting Competition held at Asansol, West Bengal facilitated his selection directly in Pre-TSC-III. Finally, CQMS Aayush Soni was selected in 91-membered PHHP&C Directorate team to join All India ThalSainik Camp (AITSC) held at Delhi Cantonment from Sep17- 27, 2019. CQMS Aayush Soni won 2nd prize both in Shooting and Bhangra. The directorate team bagged overall 1st Position in AITSC.
- Combined Annual Training Camp (CATC) was held at NCC Academy, Ropar from Nov 25-Dec 04, 2019. UO NikhleshChander Parashar, CSM Ajay Kumar and SGT Ashish Rana attended with other 15 cadets of our College in the camp. CSM Ajay Kumar was selected as camp senior.
- Ek Bharat Shrestha Bharat Camp-II (EBSBC-II) was held at NCC Academy, Ropar from Jan 13-24, 2019 in which Cadet Kartik and Cadet Arjun joined. Chd Group bagged 3rd position in Volleyball and 3rd position in Drill.
- Ek Bharat Shrestha Bharat Camp-II(EBSBC-II) was held at Karnataka from Jan 16-27, 2019. CSM Ajay Kumar participated in the camp. In this camp, 20 cadets from NCC group and about 100 cadets from PHHP&C Directorate participated. Our Directorate team got the 3rd position in Volleyball.
- Ek Bharat Shrestha Bharat Camp-II (EBSBC-II) was held at Delhi from Jan 18-29, 2020. Cadet JigmatDorjey participated in the camp. In this camp, 14 cadets from PHHP&C Directorate participated. Cadet JigmatDorjey participated in Bhangra and performed well.
- Directorate Combined Annual Training Camp (DCATC) was held at NCC Academy, Ropar from Nov 02-11, 2019. Cadet Rajat Kaushish, Cadet Kabir Bhalla, Cadet Himanshu, Cadet Ajay Sethwal, Cadet Sumit Verma, Cadet Amol, Cadet Shankar Mandal and Cadet JigmatDorjey participated in the camp.
Republic Day Camp (RDC) Nov 12-21, 2019
- Pre-RDC-I was held at NCC Academy, Ropar. Cadet Himanshu, Cadet Ajay Sethwal, Cadet Sumit Verma, Cadet Amol, and Cadet JigmatDorjey participated in the camp.
- Pre-RDC-II was held at NCC Academy, Ropar from Nov 25-Dec 04, 2019. Cadet Himanshu, Cadet Amol, and Cadet JigmatDorjey participated in the camp.
- Pre-RDC-III was held at NCC Academy, Ropar from Dec 05-14, 2019. Cadet Himanshu, Cadet Amol, and Cadet JigmatDorjey participated in the camp.
- Pre-RDC-IV was held at NCC Academy, Ropar from Dec 19-28, 2019. Cadet Himanshu and Cadet Amol participated in the camp.
- RDC was held at DG NCC, Delhi Cantonment from Dec 30-Jan 30, 2020. Cadet Himanshu and Cadet Amol participated in the camp.
- Cadet Amol participated in Cultural event, National Integration Awareness Program (NIAP) and PM Rally. He was also selected as the senior of the Cultural Team and NIAP. Cadet Himanshu participated in PM Rally. PHHP&C Directorate bagged 2nd position in NIAP, 5th position in Line Area, 10th position in Cultural, 12th position in PM Rally, 15th position Flag Area. Our Directorate became the Banner Holder for outstanding overall performance in various camps and events.
- 19 Cadets attended Lecture on Career Counseling on Apr 08, 2019 at NCC Gr HQ,31-D, Chd.
- 40 Cadets participated in SAMAVESH 2.0 (games for NCC cadets) organised by NCC Army Wing, PU from Apr 11-12, 2019. They won 2nd position in Tug of War. Cadet Karanvir Singh got 2nd position in 200 m race. Cadet Amol, Cadet Karanvir, Cadet Sachin and Cadet Lalit Pandey got 3rd position in 4x100m relay race.
- 45 Cadets participated in the International Yoga Day held at PGGC, Sec 11, Chd, on Jun 21, 2019.
- 31 Cadets participated in 10-day awareness drive from Jul 30- to Aug 9, 2019 against motor vehicles plying on cycle tracks in Chd with Traffic Police, Chd.
- 05 Cadets participated to celebrate “20 Years of Victory in Kargil War” at DAV College, Sec 10, Chd, on Jul 12, 2019.
- 45 Cadets participated in the Celebration of “20 Years of Kargil War (OP Vijay)” on Jul 18, 2019 in our College.
- 6 Cadets participated in Independence Day Parade (IDP) held at Parade Ground, Sec 17 on Aug 15, 2019. Army Wing Boys secured the 1st position in the parade.
- 12 Cadets took part to celebrate “World Car Free Day” organised by Chd, Administration on Sept 22, 2019. Cadets Participated in cycle race from Sec 17 to Zirakpur and Back.
- 35 Cadets participated in Awareness Rally for World Spinal Cord Injury Day held from Sec17Plaza to Spinal Rehab Center, Sec 28 A, Chd, on Sep 05, 2019.
- Mega SwachhtaPakhwada-I:NCC Army and Naval Wing organised quiz and painting competition to celebrate Mega SwachhtaPakhwada on Sep18, 2019 in the College. About 70 cadets participated in the event.
- Mega SwachhtaPakhwada-II: NCC Army Wing in collaboration with NCC Naval Wing and Dharat Suhavi Environmental Societyorganised a Mini-Workshop and Lecture on Waste Segregation to celebrate Mega SwachhtaPakhwada and Green Consumer Day on Sep 26, 2019 in the College. Mrs Neelam Gupta, a renowned member of Jan Shiksha Sansthan was the guest speaker. About 100 cadets, 20 other students and other faculty members attended the workshop. Department of Environment, Chd Administration sponsored the event.
- 68 Cadets participated in a Mega Rally to increase awareness for preventing pollution in Diwali Festival on Oct 22, 2019. A total of about 300 students from different colleges and schools participated. The rally started from Sukhna Lake to our College premises.
- 10 Cadets donated Blood at Moti Ram Arya School, Sec 27A on Nov 23, 2019.
- About 50 Cadets observed Communal Harmony Campaign Week (Nov 19-25, 2019) on Nov 22, 2019. A short quiz and discussion were organised to spread the message of peace, communal harmony and national integration. On Nov 25, 2019, about 40 Cadets observed Flag Day for Communal Harmony. Cadets contributed and also collected voluntary donations from students and staff members to raise fund for National Foundation for Communal Harmony.
- About 40 Cadets observed Armed Forces Flag Day on Dec 06, 2019. Cadets contributed and also collected voluntary amount from students and staff members to raise fund for ZilaSainik Welfare Association.
- 55 Cadets celebrated Army Day on Jan 15, 2020. They got motivation after watching movie “1971”.
- An Awareness Programme on Road Safety and Traffic Rules on Jan 16, 2020 was organised jointly with Traffic Police Chd in the campus. About 60 Cadets participated in the programme. Traffic police, Chd, gave a presentation on road safety and conducted a quiz. Along with other students, UO Biswas Negi bagged a prize in the quiz competition.
- 10 Cadets participated in Republic Day Parade held at Parade Ground, Sector 17, Chd, on Jan 26, 2020. Cadet Sumit Verma was the Contingent Commander for Army Wing. Army Wing (Boys) Contingent secured 2nd Position in the parade.
- 51 Cadets took part to celebrate National Voters Day organised by Electoral Literacy Club of the College on Jan 25, 2020.
- About 55 cadets took part and volunteered in the College Foundation Day on Jan 28, 2020
