Physics department has well-equipped 3 laboratories for under graduate classes and 1 newly created laboratory for MSc Physics (to be started from next session). It has 5 class rooms shared with other departments as per college time table. It has 9 faculty members and 4 lab staff members.

Admission to MSc I (Physics) will be based on entrance test PU-CET (PG) conducted by PU Chandigarh. Only the rank holders in the entrance test will be considered. 50% weightage will be given to the score in entrance test (PU-CET) and 50% to the score in the qualifying examination. Once the list is exhausted, admissions will be on merit basis under University instructions.
