ABOUT THE DEPARTMENT
The Department of Economics was started in 1966, the year of establishment of the College, with only 30 students. The Department was upgraded to Post Graduate level in 2011. Presently, Dr Bandna Goindi is heading the PG Department of Economics. There are eight regular Faculty Members in the Department. All the faculty members are actively engaged in research, participation in seminars and conferences at the National and International level and are also the members of various academic bodies. The Department is known for producing many renowned entrepreneurs, leading educationists and bankers. The Department is consistently progressing to respond to changing requirements of time by organizing various seminars, conferences, extension lectures, tours and trips for imparting holistic education to the students.
