Department of Political Science

ABOUT THE DEPARTMENT

The Department of Political Science, Sri Guru Gobind Singh College was established in the year 1966 with the aim to educate the students with the theoretical underpinnings of political science and corroborate the same with events which bring changes in the interpretation of concepts such as fundamental rights,     democracy, equality, liberty and justice.

Over the years, with the collective efforts of the faculty members, the discipline has evolved and manifested itself as a dynamic and holistic subject and is            becoming an increasingly popular choice among the students. All three program courses offer an in-depth awareness among students regarding the emerging        trends in the contemporary era, especially in the post- pandemic world.
