NCC NAVAL WING


NCC Naval wing of the college enrolled total 50 cadets  in the current session. NCC conducts numerous activities every year in which the cadets participate enthusiastically, such as the Annual  training camp, special adventure camps, social awareness rallies / campaigns/drives,  and many more. This year, 2021-22,  cadets of SGGS College  participated in various online/offline  Activities .

The camps in which the cadets participated were:

  • World Bicycle Day was celebrated on 3 June 2021 in which 35 Cadets participated .Cadets went for cycling on this day to enhance their stamina and endurance. Cadets also made Posters on World Bicycle day.
  • Total 30 cadets took part in World environment day on 5/06/2021.Cadets made Posters to spread awareness regarding restoring environment and planted trees.
  • 30 cadets participated in World food safety day on 7June 2021. Google meet was held to make cadets aware about how to minimize the wastage of food . cadets made Posters on World food safety day to spread awareness.
  • Officers intelligence rating Test was conducted on 16 June 2021in NCC Unit in which  27 cadets of our unit participated and performed very well among all colleges. Cadets were taught the importance of officer like qualities in SSB.
  • Martyrdom of Sri Guru  Arjun  Dev ji was  observed  on 16 June 2021 , 28 cadets participated in organising the Martyrdom day of Guru Arjun  Dev Ji. Cadets wrote shloks from Gurbani and made Posters .
  • International Day Of Yoga was celebrated on 20  June 2021 and 34 cadets took part in the camp. Cadets took part in quiz competition held by mygov.com online portal and also performed various types of yoga poses and also made video of asana.
  • International Day Of Drug Abuse was observed on 26 june 2021 and 28 cadets participated in  this drive. Cadets took pledge for not promoting drug usage and spread awareness to stop using drugs by telling their harmful effects to public.
  • National Doctors day was observed on 1July 2021 and 34 Cadets participated in it. Cadets made thanks giving videos for all doctors who worked as  frontline warrior during the tough time of covid-19. And also made Posters on doctors day
  • 33 cadets took part in Nelson Mandela international day where cadets remembered the 1st black president of south africa. Cadets made salogans and paintings on this day
  • 31 cadets participated in article writing on Lunar Eclipse held on 20 July 2021.Cadets were taught how the lular eclipse occurs through online mode. Cadets participated very actively and got interest to learn more about space
  • On the eve of Kargil Vijaydivas Cadet Captain  Tahira  was invited to an All India Radio telecast.
  • 33 Cadets participated in World nature conservation day on 27 July 2021. Cadets planted trees of conservative the nature and they were also taught the importance of nature in our daily lifestyle
  • 5 cadets took part in Independence day parade held at parade ground, sector 17. Naval NCC cadets won the best Contingent trophy among all NCC Wings.
  • 34 Cadets went for firing in shooting range, sector 25, Chandigarh on 26Oct 2021
  • 35 cadets participated in  for boat pulling in DK Wheler on Sukhna lake from 4 December to 26 December 2021.
  • Cdt kartik kumar attended kala kumbh, 75th azadi ka amrit mahotsav (25/12/2021 TO 02/01/2022)

 

CAMPS FOR THE SESSION 2021-202

  • 44 Cadets attended Annual Training Camp (ATC) 252 held at PGGC 11 Chandigarh . various competitions were organized during the camp, our college bagged gold medal in tug of war competition and silver medal and trophy in basketball.  POC Ashman Dhaliwal secured Silver medal in Service subject.
  • CC Tahira attended EBSB (Ek Bharat Shresht Bharat) camp from 19th july 2021-27th July 2021 with Odissa Dte. NCC through Online mode
  • Cader Harinder Singh attended EBSB (Ek Bharat Shresht Bharat) camp from 20 September 2021 to 25 September 2021 through Online mode.
  • LC Vishu attended EBSB (Ek Bharat Shresht Bharat) camp from 23 August 2021 to 28 August 2021 through Onlinemode
  • POC Kartik Kumar attended ship attachment camp at Western Naval Command, Mumbai from 02.05 to 2022 to 13.05.2022.
