About the Department
The Post Graduate Department of the Computer Science was established in the year 1998. The aim of the department is to provide holistic development of the students. The department comprises of competent, experienced and dedicated faculty along with a well-qualified team of technical staff. Keeping in view the changing technical scenario, the department is regularly upgrading to new technologies and also promoting the use of free/open source software having an exclusive lab setup for the same. The college is proud to have permanent affiliation of MSc (IT) from Panjab University, Chandigarh. Since then we have been constantly endeavoring to promote our students towards academic excellence and develop their overall personality enabling them to face the real life challenges.

The Post Graduate Department of Computer Science has a technically robust set up with three powerful IBM servers and five well-equipped labs comprising of 20 systems with Intel core i5, 20 systems with Intel i3 processors and 58 systems of advanced configuration, interconnected using Fast Ethernet connection of 100 Mbps. Broadband Internet along with Wi-Fi facility on secured network is available round the clock for faculty and students. The Department has a smart classroom and also other equipments like LCD projectors, printers (coloured), scanners to help the students with the practical work and projects. The Department has its own Reference Library equipped with 316 books for ready reference for both staff and students with an exclusive computer and printer access. In addition to existing set-up, access to e-resources has also been incorporated to promote research. Keeping in view, the changing technical scenario, the Department is promoting the use of free/open software having an exclusive lab set up for the same.
