Refund Policy

This Refund Policy outlines the conditions under which fees paid to Sri Guru Gobind Singh College may be refunded. All refunds are processed in accordance with the rules of the College, Panjab University, Chandigarh, and the guidelines issued by the UGC.

Application & Registration Fees

Application, registration and processing fees are non-refundable, as they cover administrative costs incurred in handling your application.

Refund on Withdrawal of Admission

If a student withdraws after confirming admission, the refund of tuition and other recoverable fees is determined by the date of withdrawal and the prevailing UGC fee-refund norms. As a general guide, a larger proportion of the fee is refundable when the withdrawal is intimated well before the start of the session, and the refundable amount reduces as the session progresses.

• Refund requests must be submitted in writing to the College office.
• Certain non-refundable components (such as admission/registration charges) may be deducted as per rules.
• Caution money or security deposits, where applicable, are refunded after adjustment of dues.

How to Request a Refund

• Submit a written application to the College office stating the reason for withdrawal.
• Attach the original fee receipt and required identification.
• Provide accurate bank details for the refund, where applicable.

Mode & Timeline of Refund

Approved refunds are normally processed to the original mode of payment or to the bank account provided by the applicant. Processing time may vary depending on verification and institutional procedures.

Non-Refundable Situations

• Fees paid for services already availed.
• Cancellation of admission due to submission of false information or disciplinary reasons.
• Statutory or university charges that are explicitly marked non-refundable.
