Documents Required

  • Class 10 mark sheet and certificate
  • Class 12 mark sheet and passing certificate
  • Character certificate from the last institution attended
  • Migration certificate (if from a different board / university)
  • Reserved category certificate (SC/ST/OBC/EWS/PwD), if applicable
  • Recent passport-size photographs
  • Aadhaar card / Government-issued ID proof
  • Bachelor's degree mark sheet and certificate (for PG applicants)

Selection Criteria

Most undergraduate courses admit students on the basis of merit in the qualifying examination — Class 12 marks for UG and Bachelor's degree marks for most PG programmes.

Some postgraduate programmes such as MSc Zoology and MSc Chemistry require the PU-CET (PG) entrance examination conducted by Panjab University, Chandigarh — with the College typically giving 50% weightage to the entrance test and 50% to the qualifying examination.
