Fee Concession Notice 2025-26

Comprehensive fee-concession scheme for the academic session 2025-26 — covering merit, social-welfare, and special-category support.

Online applications are invited from students of B.Sc. Medical / Non-Medical, B.A., B.Com., M.A. English, M.A. Punjabi, M.A. Economics, and M.Com. for the following categories of fee concession. Submit the required documents in the Google Form (link attached) by August 31, 2025 for ongoing classes, and till the last date of admission for new students. Attach a copy of fee receipt or ID card, mark sheets of lower classes, and a passport-size photograph along with documentary evidence for the applied category.

In Memoriam

Shri P. N. Garg Award for Scholastic Achievement

₹ 5,00,000/- (Five Lakh only)

Instituted in the memory of the late father of VK Garg and Indra Gupta (siblings), alumni of SGGS College — the University Toppers in B.Com. in 1977 and 1979 respectively.

The Award will be granted to a student of SGGS College who tops the Panjab University examination in B.Com. for any two semesters of an academic year. The Award is open for being claimed till the end of Academic Session 2026, after which it will be disbursed. If there are multiple claimants the amount will be shared equally.

The jury for the selection of the awardees will comprise the Principal, the Head of the Department of Commerce, and the Award Sponsors.

In Memoriam

Smt. Kaushalya Garg Award for the Best All-Rounder

₹ 50,000/- each (Two Awards)

Instituted in the memory of the late mother of VK Garg and Indra Gupta (siblings), alumni of SGGS College — the University Toppers in B.Com. in 1977 and 1979 respectively.

Granted to two students enrolled in B.Com. for being adjudged as the two best All-Rounders of the academic year 2023-24. Considers academic performance, extra-curricular activities, strength of character, and any other major achievement of the candidate.

The jury for the selection comprises the Principal, the Head of the Department of Commerce, and the Award Sponsors.
